Amazing Natural Event

Wow, it feels like it’s been 4 weeks already halfway in this intermediate phase. Why do I say very much? because I learned a lot from “#GenerasiGIGIH”, I got a lot of knowledge and a lot of it was new for me. Thank you to the organizers and mentors who have taken the time, energy, and thoughts for us beginners who are wanting to learn and heading the professional path as a programmer.

1. How do you feel? If you could describe your experience these 4 weeks in a natural event, what would it be? Please explain the analogy you chose.

answers:

The natural event I choose to describe is “Metamorphosis”. why metamorphosis? Because I described myself as still a larva going through the process of metamorphosis into an adult butterfly. A larva here means someone who is still very new to programming, especially programming and its working system in today’s technology industry. While the adult butterfly means a professional programmer where he can adapt to today’s technology industry.

The process of metamorphosis is certainly not an easy thing for a larva where it has to go through several stages to become a butterfly. The first stage is “Eat a lot” a larva must eat a lot before it goes to the fasting stage as a cocoon, we beginners have to learn a lot from mentors and various other sources to support us to become better programmers. The second stage is fasting as a cocoon, we as beginners must focus on learning we must fast from things that can distract us from learning to program. The third stage is changing from a cocoon to a butterfly. We as beginners who have gone through the process of eating a lot and fasting, when we have entered the third stage we have to try to change into a better programmer who adapts to the current state of technology and industry to become professional.

2. On a scale of 1–10% how much have you put in the effort to participate in the learning process at #GenerasiGIGIH? Also, explain why you rated yourself so much. Is there anything you can do to improve yourself?

answers:

I’ve put 90% of my time and understanding to the maximum in the learning process in class, but since almost everything is new to me, I need to process the new things longer. The missing 10% is that I still don’t explore new things myself, then my device is not compatible enough to follow the learning process to the fullest. The fix is that I always have to take the time to explore something I’ve learned in class and for the device, I’m saving up to buy a new laptop.

3. If you could ask 1 question to your comrades in #GenerasiGIGIH, what would you like to ask?

answers:

How to be able to process new things quickly so that they can understand them quickly too?
